Puppy Training Programs

Giving your puppy a smooth transition home is one of our top priorities. While every puppy raised at Front Porch Goldens goes through early socialization, ENS, and Puppy Culture from day one, our extended training programs offer specialized, focused training before your puppy makes their journey home.

Whether you need solid crate and potty foundations or want a fully integrated, home-trained puppy, we offer custom options to set your family up for success.

We have three training packages explained below, as well as custom options. Feel free to send us a message!

Puppy Bachelor's Degree

Until 10 weeks of age | $900

Setting: Dog Den Training Environment

Our 2-week program is designed for families looking for a jumpstart on the hardest part of bringing a new puppy home: crate sleeping and early potty routine.

Treat rewards offered for learning a new command, teaching a soft mouth

  • sit, down, and the introduction to the goal of "wait" when used in a food dish context.

Crate Training:

  • We begin crate training and work towards 2-3 hours crated in the day with little to no accidents and minimal barking. Puppies will need adjustment time in their new home and continued training in this area to be fully crate trained.

  • Introduction to potty training by being taken out to grass multiple times a day. 

Socialization:

  • Continuation of our Puppy Culture and introduction to men, women, and children including community outings.

  • Introduction of baths, grooming, and nail clipping

  • Regularly riding in a car, taking walks, and everyday activities

  • Vacuums, TV, washer, and other household experiences.

Puppy Manners

  •  An introduction to basic manners including working on no nipping, and jumping. 

  • A comfortable presence of leash and collar pressure 

  • Introduction to the leash manner of "sit" when the handler stops. 

Puppy Master's Degree

Until 12 weeks of age | $1600

Setting: Dog Den Training Environment

Our 4-week foundational program builds solid routine, crate confidence, and essential house manners so your puppy arrives home ready to fit into your daily life. Your puppy will continue to learn everything mentioned in the Bachelor’s program in addition to:

Commands: Longer durations and quicker production of cues covered in the Puppy Bachelor's program. 

  • Transition treat rewards to praise with occasional treats. This teaches good behaviors don't always mean treats. 

Crate and Potty Training:

  • In the Master's program, your puppy will get an advanced training of:

    • Crate training and pottying outside. It will work towards overnights in the crate

    • Sleep training including structured naps during the day

Leash Training

  • Your puppy will learn to walk on a leash during daily walks.

  • We will work on no leash biting and continue introducing "sit" when we stop. 

Socialization:

  • Continued introduction to baths, cars, activities, people of various ages, and household appliances. 

Puppy Manners

  • Your puppy will work on allowing a handler and children to pet and socialize without jumping, barking or nipping.

Home Intensive Program

Custom Duration - $650/week

Setting: Living directly inside Gracelin’s home

For families seeking the absolute highest level of real-world integration, your puppy won't just train on our farm - they will live inside Gracelin's house as a seamless part of her everyday routine.

Rather than learning in a den setting with training sessions, your puppy experiences true home life 24/7. They learn how to navigate the exact sights, sounds, and rhythms of a household. In addition to the commands and methods learned in our other training programs, your puppy will receive a:

  • Real Home Routine: Sleeping through the night, navigating kitchen boundaries, 24/7 potty training work, and daily socialization with another dog.

  • Customized Family Prep: We tailor training directly to your family's lifestyle - whether that means preparing for kids, apartment living, frequent travel, or service/therapy foundations.

  • Direct Trainer Hand-off: Detailed owner hand-off sessions with Gracelin so you can seamlessly maintain every boundary and command established in her home.

Your puppy will come home regulated to a home environment, and ready to learn from you!

Then, what’s next?

After your puppy has completed our training programs, we will equip you with the resources to continue these good behaviors.

  • A copy of your puppy's daily sleeping, eating, and playing schedule.

  • A copy of everything your puppy has learned and discussion of how to implement it into your household. 

  • Communication, videos, and photos during your puppy's training as well as follow-up training advice as your puppy adjusts to your home.

Additional Information:

Prices include age appropriate vaccines, deworming, supplies, and food. It is recommended that you express interest early on in the process in order to secure a spot.

These are started puppies who have been introduced to these training points. Every puppy learns at a different rate and will perform differently than the next. They will need continued training in their new home to establish these habits in their home and into adulthood.
