Opal

There's something special about Opal - she has such a gentle old soul that opened up a spot for her on the couch right away when she joined us in summer of 2025 ;). She lives with an incredible guardian family near Des Moines, Iowa, with her golden sister, Mabel.

Opal’s world revolves around her humans. She is an amazing cuddler and is happiest when she’s curled up on a lap or on the couch. Her calm and intuitive nature makes her an absolute joy to have around. She is gentle and docile with children and people of all ages.

With her small, show-like frame, Opal weighs in at a petite 55 pounds. We are eagerly awaiting the day this lover girl becomes a puppy mom!
